Mr. Matsuzaki was the Executive Officer and General Manager of the Regional Management (China) of Ryohin Keikaku Co., Ltd. overseeing the business of the Greater China, Hong Kong and Singapore. As the managing director of MUJI (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd, MUJI (Singapore) Pte Ltd, MUJI (Beijing) Co. Ltd and MUJI (Shanghai) Co. Ltd, he now heads the oversea business development team focusing the expansion in Greater China.
Mr. Matsuzaki has over 30 years of experience in retail industry and said to be a leader for strategic development of MUJI store in emerging market of South East Asia. His professional advice on store establishment in Greater China and unique guidance on business operation contributed much to the growth of the oversea business. His innovative thinking and decisive manner was well recognized and indeed they are essential elements for effective store planning.
Mr. Matsuzaki holds a Bachelor degree in Law from the Chuo University. He was appointed as the Director of Japan Trademark Association and editor committee of the publication “Famous Trademarks in Japan (second edition)” issued by AIPPI ・JAPAN in 1998.
